One of the most painful beliefs in some communities in Egypt, disability is still seen as a source of shame, something to hide.
We witness the opposite every day. With patience and consistent care, children make remarkable progress in communication, movement, social connection, and self-confidence.
Every child's journey is different. But meaningful change is possible far more often than people realize.
Many parents carry a fear they rarely speak aloud: "What will happen to my child after I die?"
With the right support, hopelessness turns into confidence. The child changes. The family changes. And sometimes, the community does too.
