Who We Are

Canada

Bright & Pure Hearts is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to supporting Egyptian children developmental disabilities.

This mission began with one moment, a young woman who spent her entire life hidden from the world because of her disability.

From that day forward, we committed to a circle of care so that no child would be invisible again.

Our Mission

At Bright & Pure Hearts, we're committed to provide children with disabilities in Egypt with safe, professional, and compassionate care while supporting their families emotionally, medically, socially, and spiritually. We believe every child deserves dignity, inclusion, friendship, education, and the chance to belong.

Our Vision

A future where children with disabilities are no longer hidden away, but welcomed openly into schools, communities, friendships, and everyday life. A future where every child grows up believing: "I belong in this world."

How We Make a Difference

We currently serve children and families through:

  • A daytime care center welcoming 18 children daily
  • Home visitation for ~40 families unable to access services
  • A medical & therapy center serving ~125 individuals monthly
  • Weekly community gatherings for ~70 children and families

Our goal: expand to a fully equipped center capable of serving 100 children every day.

Building a Brighter Future

The Dream is our future shaped by safer spaces, stronger care, and more dignified support.

The New Centre will include:

  • Therapy rooms and a therapeutic pool.
  • Sensory play areas
  • Accessible washrooms and private bedrooms.
  • A modern lift

A Broader Vision for Inclusive Care

We are expanding our reach through specialized mobile services and inclusive public spaces, including:

  • Specially equipped buses to reach families in remote or high-need areas.
  • An integrated rehabilitation center and cultural spaces.
  • Future grounds featuring landscaped walking paths and open-air activity zones.

We place this work in the hands of the Holy Trinity, trusting that what began in compassion will be carried forward in faith.

Why Canadian Support Makes a Difference

  • Many supports Canadian families take for granted, such as early intervention, accessible schools, therapy coverage, and government assistance, remain out of reach for the families we serve in Egypt.
  • A wheelchair may cost more than several months of a family's income. Some children are denied school admission. Parents stop leaving the house because they fear public judgment.
  • What feels ordinary here is life-changing there. A therapy session. A safe space. A child is welcomed rather than hidden.
